Mid Winter Xmas

Table centre pieces. I made about 100 of these little snow families.

The Entrance into the the main church sanctuary or as in this night the dining area. I had about 50 Xmas trees.

Just love the snow effect

The doe amongst the trees.

So every year our church has a Mid Winter Xmas dinner, the church sanctuary gets turned into a restaurant, and we have a chief come in a cater for it. This year I was asked to take on the ma mammoth task of decorating and setting the scene for the evening and this is what I produced. The theme was Winter Wonderland, I made about 100 little snowmen, 100 small snowflakes, 30 large snowflakes, 100 mini Christmas trees, 2 super sized snowmen, 2 medium snowmen and 3 little ones, placed throughout the trees, 2 stags and 3 does. It took 4 weeks of painting and creating constantly to make everything, and about 2 days to set it all up.
This was the finished result which I was very happy with and everyone was very shocked I had produced all this. No one at church had any idea of my hidden talent, other that the 1 person that asked for my help. It was a great night, now my Garage is full with mini snowmen and xmas attire.

Well to be honest I don't really remember what happened in June, but here are some pictures of the kids in June.

The Month of May

So well May brought a few changes for us. I went back to work as a Laboratory Technician, to get up to speed I worked full time for 3 months. This proved to be quite challening juggling work, kids and home life, sad to say but the house suffered cause of it, and me well I was totally exhausted. But really now that I'm supposedly on my regular hours not much has changed, with people being away or sick , I have still been working at least 30 hours a week.

So the kiddies, they wanted to go camping but as the Winter chill had started to set in, we decide to camp inside. So Jeff with all his wisdom decided to set up our HUGE tent in the lounge which gave us about a foot around each edge of the tent, they fitted 3 single beds inside and Jeff and the kids camped like that for about a week. They all had a blast.

Caleb started playing soccer..... his first ever season. I am proud to say that over the season he has developed rather well, and loves being goalie. He tries so hard.

Time for a catch up

So it has been ages since I made an attempt to post anything, so brace yourself to be enlightened on our lives and adventures.
